@rouleau1 do you think you'll have time to answer a few questions from an old #Ben10
fan about the changes in animation & storytelling?
Me:Why has the 11 minute story telling format become more popular? Is it easier to write or harder for #Ben10
multiple reasons. You can rotate premieres into half hour blocks, extending original content. It has its challenges, but ... ...we NEED more time we will take them in special events. 4 and even 5 partners. Right now we are finding that brevity can be ... Very affective
Me:yes I see. The premiere of #JusticeLeagueAction
was a 4 part story that aired together. One runs every week. Diversity.
ut the animation styles are changing too. Simpler designs. Is that making production easier? #Ben10 #JusticeLeagueAction
- no, not particularly. Simplicity can often be deceivingly hard. It really depends on how many locations, backgrounds, battles.
Me: is it cheaper?
- actually no. Think of each half hour double production.
there was a reply that I can't figure out what part he means
- no. id refer you back to this. A good show is our primary concern. We are also developing a strong second screen component.
So so that's all I have gotten out of him. He hasn't explained anything else.
I have another tweet comment I he
made he liked. I know it will ruffle some feathers.
@rouleau1 it seems that the rage over the new #Ben10
is by people who expect a show not aimed at the targeted 6-11 year olds.
In summary, I've just excepted this version of the show isn't intended for most of us adults, but to add a reply from Joe Kelly
@rouleau1 I I hope u all can answer a simple question. Why did u want to work in the animation business?
Been a fan since I was young. Love the medium, love big fun visuals. Love telling stories for kids & when I can, cool adults.
I a a nutshell I see guys who simply do a job they love.
